Nicknamed ‘The Knee Talbot’ by some orthopaedic surgeons here in London, Denis Talbot is a highly trained senior French physiotherapist.

In the summer of 2006, Chelsea Football Club was delighted to sign Denis, then the head physio of the elite athlete department of CERS (European Centre for Sports Rehabilitation), one of the leading rehabilitation institutes for sports injuries in Europe.

At CERS, he helped found a unique ‘global approach’ concept including physiotherapy, fitness training, nutrition and psychological support for injured athletes. During almost 20 years at CERS, Denis and his team saw more than 2,000 seriously injured patients (75% of which were knee injuries) each year. These tailored programmes have attracted and convinced not only some of the biggest names and clubs in the sporting world, they also brought patients from the world’s leading
ballets, circuses and elite groups of the police and army.

This unique experience has brought Denis into research and international lecturing in rehabilitation. We have here in Denis a top European expert in rehabilitation, biomechanics, and in all injury mechanisms, you can think of. Able to help you from Day 1 after surgery or accidents to fully returning to sport, one of Denis’ favourite mottos is ‘the more complicated and serious it is, the more you interest me!’
